This is the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles, also known as the Basilica of Our Lady of Angels. The Basilica was destroyed several times by earthquakes until it was restored at its present location. I will explain the folktale more in my blog. Parishioners crawl to the altar for penance. The wood carving and statues are magnificent. Photos do not do justice to this place. It is totally worth exploring with your own eyes.
