It is mating season, and I am not sure who is watching who. Male cardinal birds are bright red. The brown and red colored ones are female. Cardinals are symbols of loving relationships, courtship, and devotion. One belief is that when you spot a cardinal, within 12 days, you will have good luck. Cardinals also mate for life. Watching the courtship stage can be very amusing.
