Day 225 Stop and Look 365

Perspective

I have been encouraging you to take a few moments each day to look at things and enjoy their beauty.  But what about the everyday tasks that we try to get through and take for granted. I recently got a lesson in this when trying to put  together a quilt I started a few years ago. Once I completed the blocks for the quilt, I couldn’t get them to fit together. Several of my quilt friends attempted to advise me.  In the end, they were frustrated, too.    So, I packed it away and considered it a lost cause.  Making this quilt was a great way to learn new techniques for creating quilt blocks, but I wanted a finished, Long Time Gone Quilt That is the name of this pattern.  Then recently, a fellow quilter visited, and I pulled it out of the drawer and said ideas?  Immediately, she got to work moving the 5 sections around.  In 30 minutes, she had put this together.  She saw it from a different perspective.  Sometimes, we need another person to give us a new outlook on something.  Show us what we are missing.. Or maybe we should appreciate the things we find mundan. To others, they can be beautiful, not ordinary.  Or maybe we just need another person to point us in the right.  Your life, hobbies, and even everyday tasks are a beautiful story, waiting for you to be finished and shared.  You may be the catalyst to inspire someone else.
