Your Town’s Icons

Every town has symbols that make the town unique, DC has its painted bears, Maryland has painted crabs.  I even found a town with painted chickens.

Well, now Culpeper Virginia has its own unique icon.  Painted power boxes.  These boxes were done by five local artists.  Their artistry makes you want to drive around the block just to get another look. In many cases, you want to Stop and Look and get out of the car to admire the detail painted on each box.  I applaud towns that demonstrate their pride in creative ways.  So when you are exploring these unique towns icons, don’t forget to Stop and Look and even take a picture.
