I just learned how to crochet. This will come in handy when I go on my mission trip to Costa Rica. I have discovered that when you sit and do a craft with someone, it really relaxes you and them and lets down defenses. You both are sharing an experience while learning about each other. I am not sure if I will be ministering to children or adults. But hopefully, I can teach some skills like making these facial scrubbies or sewing children’s sundresses to sell. The fact that I will be meeting new people and learning about their culture is even more rewarding. We all have a lot to learn and share with each other. All it takes is a shared goal, listening ears, and a receptive heart. I will keep you posted about my upcoming missionary journey.
