Happy Sewing Machine Day!

There is a lot of debate on who invented the first sewing machine . Some of the more popular names associated with the invention include Elias Howe, Thomas Saint and Walter Hunt. Howe is the person most credited with the patent. But we all think of Singer when we think of sewing. Isaac Merrit Singer was the first to invent the first practical sewing machine in 1850 for everyday use. I thank all of these inventors who provided me with the means to spend hours of creative bliss for over 55 years.
