The Land of Blue Smoke
Day 77 Stop and Look 365
Looking at this horizon, I hope you feel that anything is possible. It is a mountain range that stretches over 100 miles and touches states like Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina. Tennessee and even crosses some parts of Georgia. The mountains were first named by the Cherokee Indians. They said they were “sagonige” which means blue. The Cherokee Indians also considered the mountains sacred and they called their mountain home that they first inhabited ” the land of blue smoke.” I am just happy they have survived over 250 million years for me and you to enjoy. Like I said this demonstrates that anything is possible.
