It’s  National Popcorn Day

My favorite snack. Popcorn has been around for thousands of years. We can thank Charles Cretor for inventing the mobile popcorn cart in 1880 and changing how we consume the tasty snack. In the Bat Cave of West central New Mexico,  4,000 ears were found. Archeologists have also found 1,000 year old grains in Peruvian tombs. They were still able to pop. I love movie theater popcorn the best. But lately, I have revisited my childhood treat of Jiffy Pop. Some of you may remember, “as much fun to make as it is to eat.” It’s my generation’s version of microwave popcorn.
