Snow and soup make a wonderful combination. Navy Bean Soup is the way to go, especially considering what is happening on Capitol Hill. It’s also called “Senate Soup” and has been served in the Senate Cafeteria for over 100 years. The Senate Cafeteria has the best, in my opinion. I have been fortunate enough to have eaten it there. Also, being a native Washingtonian, it was a stable in our house growing up. This is a healthier version, due to my leaving out the ham hocks and ham bone. Try CREATING your own version.
